Back in September, I helped a freelance production team put together a set for a short film. Built on the rooftop of a Brooklyn apartment building, we assembled mostly found and salvaged materials into a trellis. With tree trunks and branches from Jamaica Bay, street furniture, and altered materials from Home Depot, the set had a beautifully raw and handmade feel. It was used for a fantasy sequence in which the main character envisions a beautiful woman saving him from himself.
It was a wonderful treat working with such a creative group of artists and writers.
